Time
2 hours, 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a large Bowl, add water, yeast and Honey or Syrup.  Allow this to sit for 10 minutes.  You should see bubbling.
  2. In a seperate bowl, sift 3 cups flour with a fine sieve.  Discard the bran that is left.
  3. Add the oil, 3 cups of the flour, and the salt to the yeast mixture.  Mix well, until a shaggy dough is formed.
  4. Start kneading, adding flour as needed until a soft and somewhat elastic dough is formed.  Form into a ball and place in an oiled bowl.
  5. Allow to rise until double in bulk, about an hour.
  6. Deflate dough and roll out to a 9x12 rectangle.  Roll up, jelly-role style, pinching ends to seal.  Place in a greased 9x5 inch pan.  Allow to rise for about 30 minutes.
  7. About 10 minutes before the baking, preheat the oven to 350 F.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until temperature is 190 F.
  9. Tip bread from pan, and allow to cool before cutting.
