Cheese Bread

Big Daddy is baking up some Cheese Bread. It’s cheesy and delicious, and the best part is that it’s so easy to make!

Time
2 hours, 15 minutes

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of the stand mixer, add the milk, water, butter, sugar, and yeast. Whisk until yeast is dissolved.
  2. Add the bread flour (retaining 1/4 cup of flour) and salt and mix together.
  3. Knead for 8 minutes. Add the retained 1/4 cup of flour if the dough is very sticky. You want a soft dough, but it shouldn't be sticky.
  4. After bread is kneaded, place in a greased bowl and cover. Allow to rise for 1 hour or until double in bulk.
  5. roll out dough into a 8 x 12 rectangle. Spread cheese over dough and roll up, jelly-roll style. Pinch ends and seal.
  6. Cut dough in half long ways. Braid the two halves together and place into greased 8 x 4 inch bread pan.
  7. Allow to rise for 45 minutes to an hour. Dough should be peaking out of the pan by 1/2 an inch. At the end of the rising, turn on the oven to 350° F.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until internal temp reaches 190° F.
  9. Allow bread to cool before slicing.
