Big Daddy is baking up an Apple Galette. Big Daddy went apple picking and now needs to use them up, and this galette is the perfect Fall recipe. It’s super easy to make and I know you will love it!

Ingredients:
Pastry
1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
12 tablespoons butter that has been chilled
2-3 tablespoons ice water
1 large egg beaten
Filling:
3 medium apples
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 and 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoons lemon
1 large egg
Needed:
Baking Sheet
Food Processor
Knife
Rolling Pin
Parchment paper
Instructions
To make the Pastry:
In the bowl of a food processor, place the flour, sugar and butter and pulse about 10-15 times. The pieces of butter should be about the size of a pea.
Add the egg and pulse a couple of times.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of water. The dough should just stick together.
Turn the dough out onto some plastic wrap and form into a round and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
To make the Filling:
Preheat the oven to 400° F oven and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Peel apples, the chop into quaters. Slice out the cores, then chop into small slices. Place the slices into a bowl and add the egg, sugar, flour, cinnamon and lemon juice.
Assembling the galette:
Roll out the pastry dough into a 12-14 inch circle.
Place the dough on the baking tray.
Arrange or scatter the apples in the center of the disk of dough, leaving a 1-2 inch ring around the edge. Folld the edge over the apples, leaving the center uncovered.
Bake for 45 minutes until the edges are golden and crisp.
