This week Big Daddy is baking up some hamburger buns. Not those soft, squishy ones that you find at the grocery stores. These are firm, but soft and can take a juicy burger without falling apart. And, to make it even better, they are super easy to make!

2 hours, 45 minutes
Ingredients:
3/4 cup water at 105° F
2 tablespoons (28g) butter, softend
1 packet instant yeast (2 teaspoons)
2 large eggs, divided
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup (50g) sugar
43g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
3 1/2 cups (420g) All-Purpose Flour
Needed:
Stand Mixer
mixing bowls
whisk
baking tin
Instructions
Mix and knead all of the dough ingredients for about 8 minutes.
Place in greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour.
Shape the buns: Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Roll each piece into a ball, then on a parchment lined baking tray, press each piece flat. Make sure there is room for them to expand.
Proof for 1 hour, or until they have puffed up. Durning the last 15 minutes, preheat the oven to 375 F.
In a small bowl, combine egg and 1 teaspoon water. Beat until frothy. Carefully brush egg onto buns, then place in the 375 F oven for 15 to 18 minutes.
